Slow Cooker Pepper Steak

Ingredients

1½ pounds flank steak (or sirloin, sliced ½-inch thick)
3 bell peppers (any color, thickly sliced)
1 large onion (thickly sliced)
1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger (or ¾ teaspoon ground ginger)
1 cup beef broth (or beef stock)
¼ cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (more to taste)
¼ cup cornstarch
¼ cup water
sliced green onions (and sesame seeds, for garnish)

Instructions

Add sliced beef, peppers, and onion to a 4-quart or 6-quart slow cooker.

Add broth, soy sauce, honey, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine.

Cover and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours or high for 3 hours, or until the beef is tender.

In a small bowl, whisk cornstarch and water. Stir it into the slow cooker, cover and cook on high 20 to 30 minutes or until thickened.

Taste and season with salt and pepper as needed. Garnish with green onion and sesame seeds. Serve over rice or noodles.
