8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
1/2 cup salted butter (softened)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

In a medium mixing bowl, use a hand mixer to beat 8 ounces cream cheese (softened) and 1/2 cup salted butter (softened) for 1 minute, until light and fluffy.

Add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract; mix until combined, about 10 seconds.

Gradually add 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar, 1/2 cup at a time, mixing between additions until smooth.

Use immediately to frost cooled cakes, cupcakes, or cookies. Store frosting and frosted goods in the refrigerator.
